Congratulations to the photographer of this winning image! The jury selected this image because of the creative way used to express the city theme by repurposing a historical method of sharing images, vision and ideals. (Do people even send post cards anymore?) A winning image must also be well composed and executed and this does not fail in either category, but a broader crop may have been uninspiring and much tighter would might not have worked either so this was just right!

Thank you for this unexpected award. I am Alexander Graham from Edinburgh Scotland and the shot was taken during a day trip to Paris last summer. Taken with my well worn second hand Canon 600D and quickly run through Lightroom and Silver Efex Pro. Thank you again.
