This Dog Photo Competition has been one of the hardest to judge, with MANY wonderful and strong images, but this one -- of a terrier rolling in the sand, being SUCH a dog -- is truly a stand out image in an extremely amazing field of photos. The white balance is bang on, and the tones are fabulous ... with the elements of the image being simple -- dog, sand, trees and sky -- allow us to take in all of the details and various textures ... and that spray of sand kicked up by the dog's foot is spectacular. This is a TRULY wonderful image, and one to be remembered. Congratulations! ~ illona
