- Thanks a lot folks, for all your votes. I did not expect the first prize, there were so many awesome pictures in the competition! This picture was taken during our last family vacation in southern Italy (about 2h drive south of Napoli). You can visit the exact location by going to my panoramio.com account (see below). To be honest, I was in a hurry when I took this picture. We were out for hiking and my family was constantly pushing me for keeping up with them and not falling behind because of taking pictures. Maybe you know this situation ;-) ? I used a grey filter, together with following settings of my camera (CANON EOS 50D with my standard walking around lens EF-S 18-135): 5s, f18, ISO100, 18mm I did not invest a lot in postprocessing. This picture is very close how it came out from the camera. Only the upper right corner of the pictures was too bright which was reduced afterwords a little bit. Thanks a lot again Juergen

- Hi, thanks a lot for your mark of excellence, I´m simply overwhelmed. I took this photo in " Affen und Vogelpark" , Eckenhagen, Germany. In use was a Canon EOS 7d and a 70/200 at 200mm.

- das Foto wurde im Rahmen eines U-Bahn Shotings in Nuernberg gemacht die ubahn fuhr gerade nach unten ,daher die gebogene ansicht . eos 7d f-5,6, 1/60 s stativ besten dank Peter the picture was taken under a subway shooting in the Nuernberg ubahn drove straight down, so the curved view. EOS 7D f-5.6, 1/60 sec Tripod Thanks Peter

- Thanks a lot for your mark of excellence :-) This picture was taken during my trip to Paris in May 2015 together ith my wife. I took this picture during sun set through the window of our hotel. The seetings with my CANON 50D (together with my standard lens EF-S 18-135mm): 1/60s, f8.0, +2, ISO320, 126mm I had to invest a lot into post processing. Like you can imagine, the foreground was too dark while the sky was to bright. I am using gimp for all this post processing.
