This is remarkable image and an instant fave. The framing of the wet collie by the fabulously sculpted rocks is perfection, and the heavy sky adds weight and texture to the overall image. I struggle a little personally with the distant horizon and the water seen behind the collie's legs, and wonder if the image would be stronger still if the angle had been just a little lower so that the distant water wasn't visible ... although I do appreciate your desire to show reference.
