Dog Photo Competition 5 2018 : Entry Number 53

This is an absolutely stunning image ... using this dog to block the sun, creating wonderful rim-light, along with the shallow depth of field and the warm golden tones, make it an expertly handled image ... and the dog's distant gaze make us wonder what he's looking at out of frame. Camera was: Sony A7R 3 Taken in Oslo, Norway - one autumn day, with a whippet that sadly have been very familiar with being photographed. Post processing was done in Lightroom, main bit being using a LUT - based on Teal & Orange, for that movie sort of look/feel. Since the photo was very strongly backlight, I raised exposure on the Whippet, with ca 1.5-3 steps
