By the time I started setting up for this shot, it was getting to dark even for long terrestrial exposures. But I could still see hints of colors and motion that I knew would make great effects. The sunset was already gone by almost 2 and half hours, but the slightest glow remained. Being the last photograph of the day at Klamath Cove near Redwood National Park, I took my time watching where the waves stopped and painting the foreground with a flash light. Waiting for the almost full moon to move into place a couple more hours and the final exposure was completed. In all, this image is a fusion or still time lapse of about five hours. I love how the tops of the rock grouping is crisp against the fading sky and the full texture of the waves and sand below create dramatic feature elements. Sony A77, Benro Tripod, Wireless Remote
