First of all, I would like to thank the judge and congratulate the winner and the other finalists. My name is Nelson Arruda and I’m a social anthropologist from Montreal, Canada with a keen interest for visual ethnography and photography. This photo was taken with a Fuji X100 on the archipelago of the Azores on the island of Terceira. It was at a magnificent natural pool in the town of Biscoitos where a bunch of teenage kids were jumping in the water from a little cliff.
