Thanks a lot to everyone for your votes, I feel very honoured! My name is Andreas Lentfer and my particular interest is in nature photography. I took this photo a while ago on the island of Helgoland in the "Deutsche Bucht". It is a very important resting place for migrating birds especially during autumn. These three Starlings were part of a huge flock gathering on the beach of the island. I spotted them, when the main group moved on picking flies from the sand. These three guys stayed behind for a moment. Suddenly those hundreds of birds took of and caused these three guys to all look into that same direction before they followed their friends. I took the picture with a full-frame DSLR and a 500mm lens, lying flat on my stomach. Post processing was done with Aperture and Nik Software, cropping, improving contrast and exposure and final sharpening. Best regards and thank you again Andreas Lentfer.
