Thank you for your votes! My name is Cyndi Salata, and I am a self taught photographer from Illinois, USA. This image is one of many of my self portraits. Although this is a classic ballet pose, the rest of the composition was my own idea; an improvised technique with no special effects added. I am posing in front of a real backyard fire pit while standing on a mirror. I didn't do a very good job polishing the mirror, but ended up liking the streaks it left in the final image. The front of my feet are illuminated with votive candles on each side.
The camera used was a Nikon 7000.
