My name is Rob McHattie and I live in Surrey, UK. I took this photograph at the RHS Gardens at Wisley in the summer of last year.
The Astrantia are always popular with the bees, so I positioned myself carefully as to not block the light and patiently waited for the right moment to present itself.
This was taken hand held in natural light with my Nikon D800 with Nikon 105mm VR, with just some basic levels adjustment in Lightroom.
