3rd Place Brilliant capture of this car but most of all I was impressed with the overall effort that has gone into the lighting on this one with some very effective light painting. Well done!

Thank you so much for that Award. It's my very first award on here and I feel sooooo honored and happy :) My name is Moritz Erdt, I shoot under the pseudonym Maurice Etoile. Basically I see myself as a portrait photographer but I recently discovered my passion for automotive. Location I created this image close to my hometown, Saarbrücken, in the garden of a friend of our family and owner of the car. It was freezing cold - 3 degree celcius below zero. Camera Model and shooting Thesedays I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark III. The camera rests on a tripod for the whole time. I trigger it remotely and shoot straight to an iPad which helps me to control the lighting. All the lighting is "painted" onto the car and the surroundings with a fluorescent tube. Post Processing To get this final image I took about 30 single frames and merged them together in PS CC. It's actually straight forward but quite time consuming.
