Thank-you for appreciating my photograph. My name is Stuart Boulton, I live in the North East of England. The picture is of children displaced from the D R Congo, they were living in makeshift shelters on the outskirts of Kisoro in Western Uganda. I used a Canon EOS 5D Mk 1 camera with an 80-200 f2.8 lens set at 75mm, 1/60th at f4. I removed colour and added contrast in the post processing.
Judges Comment
A close-up portrait of three boys. You put the focus on the one in the middle. It is really an intense and strong photo to me.
You did a great composition and cropped it the right way. Also well executed! Perfect and full of atmosphere!
