Sometimes you see a smile that is just stunning. This photo is pure and honest to me!

My name is Pedro Matos and I’m from Portugal. I work mainly in editorial projects. This photograph was taken in 2012 in a small village in the north of the island of Santiago in the Cape Verde archipelago, to the african magazine Nós Genti. The inhabitants of this village are a very special social group, called Rabelados, who live in gated communities with very peculiar social rules. This photo was taken with a Canon 5DMII  and a Sigma lens 24-70. It was edited in Adobe Lighroom 4.
