the intensity in this Brittany's hunting gaze is beautifully lit by the late (or early) sun and wonderfully captured. the tall grasses add a beautiful texture, and the weeds in the foreground work to really place this dog in their environment. nicely done. ~ illona

This photo was taken in the fading afternoon in the woods in Flagstaff, AZ. We were out for a hike when I spotted that patch of light on the ground up on a hill. I knew I needed to get a photograph with it. I had to be quick because the light disappeared so quickly! This was taken with my 5d Mark III, the only post'processing was a slight clarity bump.
