  • What amazing composition! This images looks like music notes, created by a composer who knows what he/she is doing. Unusual and bizarre how the stem climbs in unusual ways. A wonderful photograph - congratulations to the winner of the I-Shot-It Flower competition 3 2020.

  • Thank you to the ISIT team for choosing my photo as the winner. This vine plant is in my backyard and it's very common here in Brazil. I was delighted to know that the judge had the same view I had when I took the photo, that the stems formed musical notes in the air. The camera I used was a Nikon DF with a non Ai Nikkor 85mm f 1.8 lens. Miguel Bartilotti

  • The depth and layers we are seeing in the photograph are only a couple of elements which makes this an intriguing image. There is a lightness, and wildness how these flowers grow. One one can imagine the beauty, sitting in the chairs behind.

  • A moment frozen in ice, that is what we think we see in this capture. This image is well seen, and technically skillfully executed.

  • Thanks to the judge. This peony came from my backyard. When I was young, I have some good memory having running around big bushes full of peonys in my grand-parents' garden with all the good odors who came with this flowers. Since then, the peony still the flower I like most.

  • Maybe post-production was a big element in getting this photo where it is now, regardless we think that it is lovely. Feeling transported into an enchanted world, where spotlights shining on flowers in darkness. The large shadow which is casted on the stem of the tree gives it the main and final touch to the ‘wow’ element.

  • What marvelous example of a stunning b&w photo of this flower. It is abstract, yet it shows enough detail to figure out what the observer is confronted with. The leaves give it context and the image is beautifully executed.

  • Could be a painting from an old master, or maybe is it? How this still-life was lit is superb, and the wooden piece of furniture underlines the warm feeling which we get.

  • Tammy Swarek, El Dorado, Arkansas. Canon 5D Mark IV 50mm 1.2. I photographed this in my home just as the sun had risen. The light I get from my window, for a few minutes in the morning, is simple magical.

  • How more minimalistic can one go to give enough information in a visual to be seen as what it is? Great composition and detail, and we like that the subject is off-centered.

  • The vivid and lush colours make this photograph stand out. Having an air ballon far in the distance is a nice touch. Beautiful nature, who would not want to be there?

  • When the sun sets low, either morning or evening, that is when photographers get more excited. This is a good example for this, how warm light comes through these little pink flowers from a low angle. Very well captured, and the wide open aperture makes this photo even more special.

  • Dark and mysterious, this is our first impression when looking at this image.Wondering if it a real flower, or maybe artificially created. Either way, a great capture this is with beautiful lighting.

  • Thanks so much to the Judges! Indeed, she is a real Dahlia from my garden! Set with a black background, Nikon D3400 with a manual Sigma Macro Lens. Soft lighting from the left left her in the shadows! Thanks again! Melanie of Mooers Photography!
