  • A beautiful and touching moment. Sensitive, fragile and poetic. The head of this child is framed and protected with hands. The tonality of the two different skins support this scene in a good way. The fact that is not perfectly in focus is not really important, the blurry lines and contrasts transfer the picture in a dreamy and poetic mood. There are not too many details you need to look at, you focused on the essential! Congrats to this beautiful work and to the first price of the I-shot-It Child competition!

  • Thank you so much!! My name is Agnieszka Maruszczyk and I'm from Poland. I'm particularly happy about this photo being recognized, since it's very special to my heart and comes from a personal "Father and Son" project. It was one of the every-day moments, which however represents everything important between them two. More of my child, travel and street photography can be found on Instagram and FB. I shoot with Nikon D750 and 24-70 Nikkor lens

  • A boy on his way to be a man. His facial expression is so serious. The photo is fragile and powerful at the same time. You can see his strong character and decisiveness. The background and the black and white tonality underlines this in a great way. Thank you for this great picture!

  • Thank you for recognizing my picture. My name is Agnieszka Maruszczyk and I'm from Poland. That's a portrait of my son, since children are the once I like photographing most - capturing some real moments, how they change over time, who they are. I was in a park with my son and asked him to take his t-shirt off and show me how strong he was. I'm still having a smile on my face when looking at this show of strenght he gave me... • Thank you so much! My name is Ashley Petersen and I photograph lifestyle and conceptual portraiture in the San Francisco bay area. I really like working with kids and animals, they are so spontaneous, which makes the process very fun to document. There is something special about the dynamic between animals and people. I shot this at Kirby Cove, in Sausalito, CA. I used a Nikon D750 with a 50 mm lens and post processed in Photoshop.

  • An extraordinary picture. A boy trying to hide behind a bundle of chickens. You need to count their heads, otherwise it is not clear how many there are. There are a lot of details to look at. But the one eye of this boy is the center of your picture. It tells the story! Well done!

  • Thank you for recognizing my picture. My name is Agnieszka Maruszczyk and I'm from Poland. That photo was taken during Easter. The weather has been far from perfect, but kids were playing outside and building a house for snails. I asked Agata if she would be brave enough to put her little friend on her face. And she was! Picture has been taken with Nikon D750 + 24-70 lens

  • A great picture! Technically it is really perfect. I am sure it is not the first picture you have taken. I like how the colors work together, the contrasts between this lighting yellow jacket and the background fits perfectly together. And of course it is a lovely moment captured in the right moment!
