Congratulations to the photographer for this beautiful vibrant image. The sharp symmetrical straight lines of the fountain and buildings juxtapose in an energetic way with the undulating and irregular lines of the trees and skyline. The orange colors vibrate with the blues, and the black with the white all the while taking the viewers eye through the image. Centering the darker area of the fountain and leaving the lighter reflection below helps center the image and gives the eye a resting point before making another trip around the image. This is a fantastic composition that works on many levels, and the image is also technically well executed.

Thank you so very much for selecting my image! While on a family holiday trip to New York City, we scheduled a visit to the National September 11 Memorial and Museum on Christmas Eve day 2016. The morning was marked by rain and heavy fog, so as we entered the museum, I didn't have much hope for exterior shots. But when we exited the museum mid-afternoon, the skies had cleared and I was able to use the wonderful low angle of the winter sun to capture some memorable images. This was handheld, using a Canon EOS 5D Mk III with a brand new Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 Di VC SP USD Zoom lens - with which I am very pleased. Post-processing was performed using Lightroom.
