This is the first time I mustered courage to participate in a photography contest. Thank you for the encouragement and the "Mark of Excellence" honor! I'm Amirtha Raman, a photography and an outdoor enthusiast. I took this photograph at the Tulip Festival in Skagit Valley, Washington. When you are surrounded by miles of beautiful flowers, it becomes very hard to decide which part of the field or activity is more important than the other. I wanted to capture all the fun in the atmosphere but the only challenge was that people had started crowding. So, I just sat on the field, keeping level with the flowers and shot the sky.
