This image is outstanding and I love it for so many reasons! First of all it is a real touching moment. You captured this scene in the right time. You can't see right into their faces but this picture is filled with emotions. The mother and her child are framed in an extraordinary and dynamic way. The line of the horizon is not a straight line. That is unusual but together with the other elements and lines, in the composition of this picture, it looks harmonious. The soft pink of their swimsuit and the brown and grey tones from the background, all these colors fit together perfectly and the picture looks soft, well executed and.....what can I say? A fabulous photo!! Congratulations to the winner of this child competition!!

That's exactly the same what I felt, when I shot this photo of my wife and our 4 year old daughter. Image was taken on a beach in The Netherlands with a Sony A7R and the FE 2,8/35. And my special thanks to www.romantripler.com, who encouraged me to take part at the I SHOT IT competitions. It's already my second first prize :-)
