Not a subject that we see a lot of entries for and this is a great capture of the helicopter at dawn. Good use of light and ability to maintain some details in the aircraft side on what could be potentially a difficult exposure and post edit work is simple but effective and not over true top which is good to see. Well Done!

Thank you so much for your comments - I'm delighted with this result. The aircraft is the one I'm fortunate enough to fly every day in the highlands of Scotland. I took this early on New Years Day with my Nikon D5100 and 18-55 kit lens, I took a few different exposures and used layers in Photoshop to merge them in order to balance the sky. I'm still very new to Photoshop so am really enjoying learning some new techniques.
