Thank-you for appreciating my photograph. My name is Stuart Boulton, I live in the North East of England. The picture is of a Scots Guard soldier greeting his young son on returning to his base at Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire, England, after a tour of Afghanistan. I used a Canon Eos 1D mkII camera with a 28mm lens, 1/1000 at f5.6, I removed colour and added contrast in the post processing.
