One of the best spots for photographing bird in New England is Plum Island in the north east corner of Massachusetts. Early one Saturday I happened across this snowy owl near Hellcat swamp. after a few shots from 30-40 yards from my car, I parked out of his line of site and walked to with in 20 ft. and started shooting I kept expecting him to take off. He just sat in there and didn't seem to mind. I only spent 2-3 min before getting back to my car . He was gone when I drove by.
