A great story being told in this photograph. An old sunflower, almost heroic in its appearance and an old wooden cottage in the background. The atmosphere in this image is really priceless. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you! I feel honored that my image was chosen among so many others. I shot this in Charlotte, North Carolina using a Minolta 700si with colored film and a polarized filter, and then I scanned the negative onto a computer. It was a beautiful place in the midst of autumn and this finished sunflower patch looked so harmonious with the rest of the old acreage. I did what I could to capture that, and it's fulfilling to know that it was received well!
