Thank you so much for all votes! My name is Alexey Pronin; I live in San Diego. This picture was taken at Mono Lake, California. On that December 2004 evening I got lucky and the sky put up a great sunset show, providing a nice background for tufas (limestone formations). I took this photo with Maxxum 7xi camera, Minolta 35/1.8 lens and Velvia100 film. I lightened up tufas with a flash. The slide was scanned; some digital processing was done to improve contrast.
