This is Huxley, one of the many adoptable cats I photographed at West Columbia Gorge Humane Society in Washougal, WA. He captivated me with the intensity of his gaze and the unique look. I don't usually convert the adoption portraits to black and white but this one seemed like a perfect candidate. It has been my favorite ever since, it even hangs in my office.
