A friend of mine asked me if I would come with him to an Airshow. At first I decided not to do. The date comes closer and I was asked again and so I thought I could give it a try. Trying out new things is never bad! At my first Airshow I shoot the same pictures as all others. Close-ups, very low. Good, but in my eyes not really interesting shots. The pilots did really cool stuff up in the air and I decided to try to catch these actions next time. The picture above is from my second airshow where I was concentrating to do less close-ups and more action shoots. When I was shooting this event (Airshow Breitscheid 2012 / Germany) I had the chance to get some really nice and much more fascinating ones. These guys produced art in the sky. It was perfect! The picture from this Hawker Sea Fury was taken with a Canon EOS 5d Mark II, EF 400 mm DO, 1/400sec @ f16. Post was done in Adobe Lightroom and Nik Silver Efex. Thanks for selecting my work! Mathias
