Great image and well deserving of merit. You get a real sense of speed and space with this image. Good use of a wider focal length lens and great use of time and space also. Good exposure work between the outside and inside elements and the little sun flares just add to the feel. Great work Tim

My name is Rob Overcash, an American currently living near London. This is a "self portrait at 45mph." The camera -- 5D Mk2 with 17-40 f/4L -- is tripod mounted in the rear seat and remote triggered via MacBook in the passenger seat. Being tethered to a laptop also allowed me to monitor LiveView while driving, helpful given nearly 150 shots over two days. Single image file with no photoshop filters or trickery.
