  • We like this image for many different reasons. The composition, how the red roses cast their shadow in a small window of light, is superb. Clearly, the artist of this image has great knowledge and sensitivity, how to arrange and perceive. The light in this photo is superb. Congratulations from the I-Shot-It team to the winner of this Flower competition!

  • Thank you for choosing my photo, I'm delighted to be the winner of this competition. My name is Aleksandra Debiczak and I'm a photographer based in Glasgow, Scotland. Flowers are a frequent subject of my photographs and I usually shoot them indoors with bright sunlight. I believe that simple photographic approach is the easiest and best way to show the beauty of the subject, in this case roses. I used Nikon D800E with 50mm lens to take this photo.

  • Hardly recognizable as flower petals, this abstract image leaves plenty of room for our imagination. The space created in between petals, with a blurred out background, is intriguing and works well.

  • This is unique, how was it created? We wonder if it might be a collage of images, or was this little fox actually physically present at the scene? What ever happened here, we like the outcome and it makes us smile!

  • Thank you very much for the award. Yes, the fox was really in the flower meadow and enjoyed the sun's rays. It was a special moment. Nice greetings, Werner

  • Desaturated colours, blurred shapes and good light, create an unusual image. This could be a capture of succulents or cacti, or maybe some underwater plants. A little bit of mystery goes a long, long way ..

  • This is not a spider, but it easily could be some exotic insect. Diving into a world of tiny branches and seeds, a detailed image this is of something we do not fully understand. We enjoy the point of difference, this photo introduces to this flower competition.

  • A truly superb close-up, with the focus in the center of the flower. Looking a little closer, we spot water drops around the inside of the paddles. This image is lovely composed and executed.

  • Much appreciate the honor of being included among such lovely images. This is a rose from my garden, in the morning light just after a spring shower. Taken with Nikon D780 with VR 105mm, processed in LR and Luminar AI.

  • Seeing this image makes us feel that spring is in the air. The delicate range of colours are lovely and the depths of field is well chosen. The focus on the crocus makes the flowers stand out from the background.

  • A simple silhouette can tell a big story, and this is a good example for it. This flowers have seen better days, surely not in season anymore. This brings out a different kind of beauty. The dark blue and black works well for this capture.
