  • It is always good to see an original take on such a famous landmark. Apart from the colours which are so warm and appealing I love how the mist has become an important part of your composition and how your central framing with a telephoto lens has made this image so graphic, stacking up the different layers. Well done you win this round !

  • This shot is so colourful and the lines are compelling. It looks like a drone shot at first but then we see the moving traffic lights and wonder how you managed to get this wonderful exposure. It is a stunning photograph and a near winner. Very well done.

  • Lovely monochrome and a neat reflection from an office window make this one pop. I also like the tight frame and graphic composition.

  • Another stunning lowlight shot where the remaining daylight and city lights compliment each other so nicely. The winter Tasmania scenery in the background brings extra punch to this lovely image. Well done.

  • This is a fine panoramic view of Milan’s Duomo cathedral. You took this just at the right time to see the city lights and also the remaining daylight in the sky. Nice technique, well done.

  • A nighttime walk in the park. You have isolated the walkers so well in all that street lighting creating a strong anchor point where your composition converges strongly. The distant city and the tree branches contrast so nicely and keep my eye wandering around the whole. Great work, well done.

  • Clever play with long exposure makes the buildings really stand out in an almost 3D image. The sun’s reflection is effective too and helps me get over the giddiness.

  • Nice contrast between the old and new and clever arrangement of all these blocks. I like your tight frame but the tip of the Chrysler tower is just so close to the edge…

  • Toronto by night. It is an incredible city skyline but your high saturation levels take it out of contention in this contest.

  • Thank you for the honor and recognition! My name is Sourabh Malik, @rummyclicks on instagram. I am an aspiring award winning photographer. My goal is to get deeper in photography with a purpose while I continuously upgrade my skills everyday. I shoot using Canon 1DX Mark II with varied lenses. Being a dad with a corporate career, I was late getting to the scene above. I missed the sunset and was quite upset, ran almost 2km crossing different sides of Toronto Island. Magic of blue hour is phenomenal, I saw the color in the sky matching the lights on the CN Tower and click click click. Was not too late afterall. Once again thank you for all your encouragement. I will WIN soon!
