  • The I-Shot-It team is thrilled to announce this Flower Competition’s winner! Frozen in ice intensifies colours and appearance. The bright orange and texture of this flower shows beautifully, almost like flames in a wild fire. This is a good example of a flower, captured in an exotic and unusual way.

  • Thanks to judges for their appreciation of my work. The title of this photo is " Sunflower (detail) " and was shot with my little compact Leica D 109 in my Mini-studio ( a cardboard box with squares holes on each side, a large plastic plate on the top and 2 flashlights). Since maybe a month, I had not taken any picture of flowers. At the end of summer, there is not many new plants in bloom. So my wife bought this sunflower at a local florist to please me. The orange color don’t came from the flower itself, but from a colorant in wich the florist soak the sunflowers to make them more attractive or vivid. First, I was not really happy with this almost phosphorescent color and I was grumbling from within, but at the end, now I think it look great. So, thanks to my wife too!

  • Lovely, how this flower is shown only partially, it seems to be part of a hide and seek game! The contrast and colours are stunning and the framing is spot-on as well. Slightly off centered, which makes this an interesting photograph.

  • Hello, thank you very much for this appreciation. My name is Patrick De Winne, living in Belgium. I took the picture with a Leica CL and Vario Elmar 18-56 in Galicia, at the North coast of Spain. It was the last flower in a field next to the sea. The low angle allows to see the flower’s own view. It can be seen as a sun with purple sun-rays.

  • There is a playfulness between light and shadow - something, that makes this photo stand out from the rest. The little bee approaching the flower introduces a different dimension, which the I-Shot-It team very much appreciates. Timing is perfect here!

  • Composition is key, and this image is a great example of mastering it! How colours were altered and part of, what seems to be a female body, being mixed with the flowers creates a curious and special photograph.

  • Rugged terrain and a hot air balloon is well brought together in this capture. The chosen angle, photographed from below, works well in this image, showing one flower reaching up to the sky.

  • So much happening here in this stunning photo. The reflections of surrounding trees in the water add layers, as well as a beautiful backdrop to the man and his flowers. Each time looking at this image, something new appears. Very well observed, captured and executed!

  • With this image, the photographer chose moody and dark to present this delicate rose. What seems to be a lamp shade, giving an impression of the sun, setting in the background.

  • Thank you very much for the award! I always wanted to become a photographer, but my parents forced me to become a dentist. Im in 5th year dental school right now, I love it and all but I can’t wait to be done, so I have more time to take photographs! I tried to teach myself photography by using a Rollei 35SE, because its all analog, zone focusing and film. It also has an awesome Zeiss lens. My dream however is a Leica M7. I took this with my Huawei P20 Pro smartphone :) Title: “Halogen Lamp + Rose”

  • A lovely capture of this alien-like flower, reaching from one side of the frame to the other. Bold colours and contrast make this photograph standing out from the crowed.

  • Perfectly executed, the balance of grey shades, as well as black and white, is superb in this image. We also love the composition in this photo - everything here works in harmony.

  • My name is Chihoko. Thank you for choosing. I received the keyword of harmony, but that is one of my themes. I focus on monochrome photography, but I'm conscious of color in the black and white world. Of course you won't actually see it. However, the heart of the person who saw it will imagine its color, its air, and its environment. I may feel such a picture unconsciously. Thank you so much again.I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart.
