  • WTF... Thanks to Tim and the jury, for chosing my photo from this 1968 Mercury Cougar GT-E 428 Cobra as the winner photo and the first price. I'm Andi from Germany and i am an Automotive Photographer. This Photo was taken with a Canon EOS 5D3 and the 35mm 1.4L II in several shots, to get the lightning the way I want.

  • Well done Great pice of lighting here in this profile detail shot. This type of work is not easy at all and the gradual fall off of light is superb

  • Thank you for the Mark of Excellence! This was one of my best photos from 2018. The first time I saw the i8, I wanted to take this pic. These two lines are just perfect together, the depth between then and bold arches. It took me a couple of attempts to get the light right but at the end shot just with one strobe with stripe softbox. My favourite desktop wallpaper :)

  • Great shot and a great simple idea Really like this, the car is really well captured and the post edit is well put together but I think what I actually like the most is the pop of light on the guys face, really brings the whole thing together.

  • Great piece of lighting again and a well positioned shot. The hard shadow really lifts this and helps with the overall mood.

  • Well done Interesting shot and i love the lighting and the motion If I had to give one piece of advice on tis it would be to try it with the sky saturation down a little and reduce the brightness there also so that its just sweeping through rather than too dominant

  • Well done Nice lighting on this and I suspect that this shot is made up of several frames blended together. The position is really nice and the post edit on this is good also, nice piece of work.

  • Cool to get a Mark of Excellence from one of my biggest inspiration himself, Tim Wallace. The shot was taken using the FDL Technique (focused diffused lighting) It was shot in a bright lit classic car showroom in the middle of the day. I've always been in love with the Fiat 500. Too bad I'm 6,5 ft :P It's a multiple exposure shot lighting small parts of the car with a very fast shutterspeed. The soft light and dark back comes from a couple of diffusion layers. My inspiration comes from the FDL Master himself Sarel van Staden You can take a look at my work on my website or instagram @fotovanjeauto.nl Arrivederci!

  • Its great to see non car related work in here always and this grabbed my attention. Its not over processed, its not lit and its not staged but it is a very interesting shot of something we don't often see. Nicely composed and good work.

  • Great shot and love the position on this. The sky and the car angle and height all add to the feel of this. I am not too keen on the foreground and would like to have seen that not there as there is a lot of distracting texture there. However I wanted to include it as its a great shot.

  • I love Porsche, so I could not resist photographing this car. We drove the car into an elevator and then went upstairs. A rooftop as a location you just have to use and that's how it was. The photo was taken with a Sony A7 with the 24-105 F4 lens. Congratulations to all finalist!
