  • The I-Shot-It judge has chosen this photo as the latest Flower competition winner! The light is moody and dark, with beautiful highlights hidden in it. This is a superb photograph, not only for composition and colour. Also all those different layers and reflections in it make this an outstanding image. Well done, thank you for submitting this image, and congratulations to the winner from the I-Shot-it team!

  • Thank you! It's a great motivation for me to continue taking thought out pictures for the competitions. I shot this picture at home with flash, lamp, two mirrors, long exposure camera movement; and then used only color correction. Nikon d610 sigma 35mm f1.4 (it's pretty hard not to get excess reflections in the mirror) Serebryakov Ivan, Russia, Ryazan.

  • The angle of this image is unusual and we have to look at it a few times, trying to understand. This is only one of the reasons what makes this a great photo. The compositon works well, and different textures give this image depths and create curiosity.

  • The rain and the strong winds take off the leaves and flowers from the plants and spread them all over the garden. They not always fall directly to the ground. This photo registers one of many situations. The camera used was a Nikon D5300 with the manual nikkor 35mm f 2.8 I thank the IS team for choosing this photo as Mark of Excellence. I am very glad. My name is Miguel Bartilotti from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.

  • Here we have a beautiful and abstract photo. Just enough information is shown to make out, that this is part of a flower. The complimenting colours of green to yellow and from turquoise to orange have a psychedelic appearance. This is a beautiful photo for the mind being unleashed, and wandering off.

  • Beautiful and exotic, how the photographer of this image chose showing this tulip. This flower is past its prime days, and this is what gives this photo great atmosphere and a sense of decay. The dark background makes the observer focus on the actual flower, no unnecessary distraction here.

  • Thanks so much for the selection - much appreciated! I was in the back yard of a friend's vacant house which had minimal landscaping done other than cut grass. This lone beauty was still standing tall albeit on it's last legs - nothing else around it! I begged for forgiveness later (haha!) but plucked this gem to take home with me!

  • This image is beautifully executed, with attention to details being shown. It works well in black and white und underlines its soft appearance and gently structure.

  • This image of a pink rose in full bloom transfers the viewer into a dreamy and introverted world. The soft and out of focus appearance combined with desaturated colours, seems to be slowing down life a little.

  • A beautifully captured moment, just before entering a forest in the low sun on a late afternoon. The angle on how this photo was taken is superb, which is creating a nice story about these flowers. The chosen depths of field brings the flowers closer and gives a good sense of distance to the trees in the background.

  • A lively image with the main colour purple in it. The little bright green leaves balance those shades of purple well. Having the lengths of the stems exceed the frame works well here and gives a point of difference to many other photos submitted to this I-S-I Flower competition.

  • It is colour, but almost could be seen as B&W image. Saying so, that desaturated look makes this photo very special. Also the low contrast underlines these little cotton balls nicely.

  • I took this photo in my room, with my iPhone 8. Name of this picture is “sing for absolution”. It’s about waiting for love in the dark room and about hope that our wishes become true.

  • Showing this flower off-centered in the frame makes this an attractive photograph. It is well balanced and creates a nice story. The light give a dramatic and theatrical impression. A beautiful image all around!
