- This spectacular and dynamic image is a true masterpiece and an instant favorite. The close crop, the details of the wet forelock, and the wildly spraying water, all make for a truly memorable image. My only recommendation to make this image even stronger would be to edit out the vertical line in the right side of the frame, and even the horizontal line at the left-top of frame, as these elements tend to draw the viewer's eye away from the horse. But a truly wonderful image. Nicely done! Congratulations! ~ illona

- Thank you Illona and Team for the MOE! It was a nice fall evening in the desert and the herd was just walking of into the sunset, perfect for laying on the ground to enjoy it and take a few shots. Taken with Nikon D7100, handheld, post processing in PS to give it a bit contrast. Thank you for your lovely words on this shot!

- This absolutely stunning image is made even more dynamic by the subject -- a truly beautiful horse. The conversion to black and white does allow the viewer's eye to take in all of the details and lines of this magnificent animal, but I suspect that even in color this palomino horse would stand out in this setting. - Canon 5D MK IV 16MM / F8 / 100S I captured this moment a few months ago while on the road in Iceland. After some previous interactions, I had noticed that these horses were generally quite curious so I went close and low, sitting partially hidden in the long grass and waiting for their curiosity to get the better of them. I composed the shot to include some of the grass that was blowing in the strong wind as I felt it would work well with the direction of the cloud pattern to add contextual framing.
