  • This image was shot with my Canon 5D Mark 3 in Dallas,TX. This ADV.1 Wheels Raptor belonged to a private client of mine. This was shot around mid afternoon shot natural light right next to the neighborhood he lives in which was at that time still in construction. I used a Tamron 24-70 2.8 with a Poralizer Filter with Tripod and captured 2 images with different diffused panals of the vehicle to remove reflections. The background are landscape images i capture during my travels and that particular background was captured in Colordado. Heres a link to a video to the BTS process of this image: https://vimeo.com/pwj/rawrptorbts Thank you Tim Wallace for selecting my work to Win this contest, truly humbled and grateful. • Well done ! I chose this as its just so simple and yet effective and the lighting and the attention to detail is what really makes this a winning image, well done, love the post edit work on this too.

  • Amazing image well done ! The balance on the composition, the lighting and the attention to detail clearly made this image stand out and I also like the fact that you have given the car some room in the image rather than going in too close .

  • Really powerful image and I am assuming a rig shot… Very well put together and with the muted tones and the addition of a small angle to the frame, sun burst, this all makes it really stand out, very well done !

  • An unusual image to see in this area but it really stood out to me as something perhaps simple in its sense of a shot but it still is a very powerful and thought provoking image that deserves recognition, well done !

  • Well balanced and simple shot that really works and features a car that many years ago I used to own, but perhaps not in that colour… I really like the composition and perhaps would be equally happy to see it without the birds also as I think it is strong enough in its own right

  • Thank you so much for the recognition of this image. The fact that Tim Wallace judged this competition makes me even happier. I took this almost 20 years ago on Fiuji Velvia with a Canon EOS1 but it is still one of my favourite car photographs. Obviously I moved over to digital many years ago but recently scanned a few of my old images on slides and this was one of them.

  • I really was drawn to this, very simple and effective and many times in cases like this, less is more. Simple but effective use of light and not over processed, well done !

  • Thank you very much Tim, for the consideration and mark of excellence! The picture was taken with a Canon 5DIII. A strobe with rectangular softbox was used to "kill" the ambient light an to create the highlight on the hood.

  • Great angle, great crop and I was drawn to this because of the tonality and the use of that to make this image really pop! Well done on this one

  • Thank you for the great honour and congratulations to the others who were recognised on this page. Amazing pictures. This was photographed with a Fuji X-E1 on a lucky day at a lucky time. The tones were accentuated in Lightroom. I actually only photographed this bike so that my husband could try to identify it once we were home. No success but a beautiful motorbike; custom piece, I guess.
