- I'm very happy that my photo "silent approach" got a mark of excellence! I shot this photo in a park in Berlin. The foxes living there aren't really shy, but I was amazed that he approached me directly. Fortunately I was prepared with my Sony Alpha 77, the Sigma 4.5-5.6 / 120-400 mm and the monopod. The lighting conditions in the evening were a little bit difficult, so I had to switch to ISO 400 to avoid motion blur. Post processing was done with Apple Aperture. Thanks for voting! Jörg Franzen

- Thank you for your votes! I am Alexey Pronin, live in Miami, Florida. This scene was photographed at sunset at Naples Beach, Florida. I took this picture with a Sony A100 DSLR camera and an 100-400 mm Minolta lens. Post-processing was done in Photoshop CS5 to improve contrast. You can visit my website for more images.

- Thank you for the votes, I am happy for the Mark of Excellence. This is a wildflower that grows in my flowerbed about the size of a quarter. This was actually shot in the late afternoon but because I shot it in front of a tree and used the red eye flash it came out with a black background. I used a Nikon 3100 with 200 mm lens F/6.3, 1/200 iso 100, only editing done was cropping and taking away a cobweb strand. Sonja--Tennessee

- I'm thrilled to have won the Mark of Excellence Award with this picture! I took this in my backyard in Boynton Beach, Florida with my Canon Rebel T3i. This picture was taken just after a very bad storm and the sky started clearing as the sun was setting and this was the result! The reflection off the lake really gave this shot the WOW factor.
