  • Congrats to the winner and the others given the Mark of Excellence! This is my favorites shot and the response you folks have given it here gives me the confidence to show more of my work! Thank you for that! This was shot in 2005 with a Nikon D70 and a SB600 speed light bounced off the wall to her left. I then edited in Photoshop and cropped the photo tight to emphasize her eyes. Other than cleanup (removing dust and white spots - if you have a black cat or photographed one you know what I'm referring to) no other touchup was required. My only regret was not shooting this in RAW. :) Again, thank you for your votes and for liking "Pikachu" as much as I do and CONGRATS to the winner and the others given the Mark of Excellence! - Reba Warbington Arlington, Texas USA

  • Thank you for voting for my still life shot! It was taken with a Sony H2 in my own kitchen in Western Ky. That fruit looked so good I couldn't resist grabbing the camera for a photo opportunity! Karen Wallace

    • Thank you so much for this honor. While photographing candles I decided to try different editing tools and this was the result. I used a Sony Alpha A100. Photo was aken in Tucson, Arizona where I was residing at the time. I am a very happy mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, now living in amazing northwest Oregon.

    • I shot this in the state of Indiana, with my older canon power shot, (just a point and shoot) The only change I made to the photo was from color to black and white. The Fog was very heavy that day. -Tabitha

      • First of all thank you for all those who voted for my picture. I took it about 3 weeks ago on a Thursday night at 3:45am. At first I was disappointed as I really wanted to take a nice sunset picture but it was full of clouds and about to rain. Then I had seen a lot of footages of this mermaid from the front and wanted to take it from a different angle, so I decided to put my tripod in the water and took that shot from the side with my Nikkon D7000. I then did the editing on my iPad with Photoshop Express (free app). A special tks to Robinjaz, close friend who inspired me with his iPhone only pictures (check his work at http://500px.com/robinjaz)
