- Thank-you so much for the Mark of Excellence. It's truly an honor with all of the incredible photographers on this site. This was taken at a neighbors farm on a very cold evening after a day of snow storms here in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of NY state. I used a Canon T4i with a 24mm lens. Post processing in Lightroom for cropping and white balance.

- Thank you all for the votes!!! I was not sure I was going to be able to get this shot as I stitched 5 images (each 30sec exposures) together and during that time the Aurora was dancing above Lake Scotty in Trapper Creek Alaska... I was very pleased with the result. Camera Settings: Canon 5D MarkIII/Canon 16-35 2.8 L @ 18mm/ISO 800/30's exp/f 2.8 and mirror lock up enabled
