  • This I-Shot-It flower competition's winner is a lovely photograph, showing some delicate flowers with a little bumble bee buzzing away. This photo is nicely balanced, and not overloaded with visual information. It leaves a lot of room for imagination - a bit like some beautiful classical music.

  • Thank you! My name is Deborah Kozura and shot this image in our garden in Charlottesville,VA using a Nikon D700 with a 70-300. Flowers are a new favorite subject of mine and getting the bees to cooperate took more than a few shots!

  • What we like about this image is the contrast of nature in the foreground, and the big city in the background. Maybe theses flowers were placed on a balcony or an open window? The square format works nicely for this composition. Maybe this image was shot with a mobile phone, or maybe not - the applied filter goes well with it.

  • Is it a window which is between the rain and the flowers and the camera? Not exactly sure how this photo was taken, but being taken away by its beauty. Very well executed.

  • This image is full of hope. With all the coldness and snow, new life is appearing! It shows the transition from winter to spring. You almost can feel the sun coming through, melting away the snow.

  • I am really drawn to the dark side of this image. This rich and dark purple, which is almost black, surrounded by drops of water. A really fascinating and intriguing photo.

  • Here you can see so much, without actually seeing the real flowers. This photo is very different to the other submissions, since we do not actually see any real flowers. All we can see is the texture of the read curtain, and a silhouette of a pot with flowers appears through the fabric.

  • Hi there, my name is Josef Salon and I took this photo in an apartment while living in Prague. The sun rays coming to my room were bothering me so I close the curtain. Then I notice this beautiful silhouette and took the picture. Thanks!

  • Amazing how different a shadow can look to the actual object. Very well spotted and seen! A unique and artistic image. Positive and negative - black and white.

  • Thank you very much. I shot it for a black and white project of photography class 101 as an hobby way back in 1994 when digital camera wasn't available yet. I took it with Canon A1 film camera. But it took me quite later to develpope correctly in the darkroom when I took a darkroom class. This is a very encouraging and motivating me. Thank you very much again for your recognition.

  • What we like about this image here, is that the sun flower appears to communicate with the sun. The rays are coming directly the flower's way. This is a special photo with such a warm feeling. Really well timed and spotted.

  • Thank You for choosing my photograph This photograph was taken with my Fuji X100s (F2.8 1/1200sec) on our deck railing of our home in Key West, FL. The intense lighting shining over the fence and onto the sunflower caught my eye and of course grabbed my camera. It was hard not to smile while taking and editing the picture. I processed the photo in lightroom and adjusted the clarity, sharpening and added a slight vignette.
