- G'day! Thank you for all your votes and honors. I am glad to see that my efforts in landscape photography (walking very long distances, carrying really heavy and having cold or getting wet) are getting rewarded. I shot this photo after a thunder storm at a small lake in the swiss alps called Lac de Fenetre. As you can see, there was still some ice on the surface of the see. - Thank you everyone for your votes! My name is Peter Cheung. This photo was taken at Picture Lake on Mount Baker in Washington State during a beautiful sunset. I used Nikon D800 with Nikon 24-70mm lens, a polarizing filter, and a ND filter together.

- Thanks for the votes, I'm Arthur Ensor. This picture was taken with a Canon 500D. During a spring storm in Madison, Alabama, I opened my back garage door, set up the tripod and using my remote shutter release, got lucky.

- Thank you everyone for your votes! I'm Alexey Pronin, currently live in Miami. This picture was taken at Torrey Pines Beach in La Jolla, California. I was watching a winter sunset as a group of surfers finished surfing and were saying 'goodbye' to waves. The picture was taken with a Sony DSLR-A850 camera and a Minolta 100-400/4-5.6 zoom lens. It was later processed in Photoshop to crop and improve contrast. You can see more of my pictures at my website.

- Thank you for all your votes. This shot was taken with my Canon T3iusing a Tamron lens. I am in Appleton, Wisconsin. This is the sun setting over the Fox River in near Vulcan Park. The only touch up I did was to boost the saturation a bit.

- Truly humbled by all of your votes, thank you everyone. This HDR composite was taken at Chittenango Falls in NY. HDR Efex Pro 2 software used to merge the 5 shots. Taken with Nikon D7000 & 55-200mm zoom.
