- Thank you very much to the users of this site for the votes and faves given to this picture (at the time of writing this is the second most faved picture of the site since its establishment), which is very special to me. It is a macro of a beautiful flower called Paepalanthus, taken in the middle of the Cerrado biome in Brazil, just ahead of a big storm (Fuji XPro1, 60mm). Wave Faber

- Thank you for all your votes and the Mark of Excellence award. This was my first entry at this site. I took this image while spending my anniversary at St. Augustine in April. We were walking on the beach at Anistasia Island, I used a Pentax K20 with a Sigma 28-135MM lens. Some of my other work can be viewed at the link below. Diane Blackford.

- Hi everyone, and thanks for all the votes! My name is Ed Lim. I generally like all styles of photography but have a leaning towards landscape, and more recently also portraiture and street. This particular photo is captioned “Bareback” on my photo site: http://500px.com/edlim. It was shot in June 2013 at the Shanghai Arts Theatre, Shanghai, China using a Sony NEX-7 camera with an 18 - 200 mm zoom lens. Subsequent image conversion to B&W and post processing was done using Silver Efex Pro 2 plugin within Photoshop CS6. Some of my other works can be viewed at my portfolio link below.
