  • I'm a filmmaker living in Richmond, VA. This shot was taken about 2 miles from where I live on a family farm. When I asked permission to shoot the barn they thought I meant their brand new one - they couldn't understand why anyone would want to take a picture of "that old piece of @#*!"

    Canon 5DMII, Canon 16-35mm 2.8L

  • In Southern Utah it is dry, except for when it isn't. Southern Utah is home to some amazing geological formations. Among these, are huge sandstone cliffs. When it rains very hard you can find very large waterfalls plummeting off of these cliffs. This image was captured where the streams from two of these waterfalls converge. These falls only last for short periods of time, so it is essential to time it right. Check out the video on my website to see these falls in action.

  • Graciela Gonzales, Cuba, Old Havana. This lady smokes cigars and poses for photographers for a living. She is often spotted in front of her porch posing for anyone willing to part with three pesos. Having spend 2 weeks in Havana, I got pretty close to this lady, chatting about the weather and about the "business" of posing. This is one of the last shots I got of her.

    • Thanks for your votes!!!! I'm JoeyKYLi and live in Hong Kong. I took this photo on the Chefchaouen when I traveled Morocoo with friend at May 2012. Chefchaouen is a gorgeous and beautiful mountain city, there's BLUE everywhere. But one thing, people will give you angry face if you hold the camera and seem ready to focus on them... so I took the backside! Shot with Nikon D90 with a Tamron 18-250mm, 1/320th, f/9 with iso 200.

    • I'm Nik Catalina of California. Camera: Canon 50-D in early Autumn hrs in Wine Country CA. Dense fog is typical in mornings that time of year, it hangs low over sprawling vineyards set in coastal mountain areas. In this photo, morning sun rises behind mist exposing the rural tree-line bordering the vineyard. I love the mystical, almost surreal effect it creates rendering a magical display of Nature's wonder. Little post-processing, tweak of saturation to enhance orange-glow of sunrise.
