As someone who has always had rescue and shelter dogs, this image evokes a lot of emotion and response (even if these might not be shelter dogs). The choice to convert to black-and-white makes this image simpler and allows us to focus on the activity and energy within the frame, with our eye always coming back to that paw. If it was me, I would do a little bit more careful dodging on that front dog -- his head and front paw -- so that he stands out the most. A very strong piece. ~ illona
