I love the movement and the low angle, it is a beautiful, delicate portrait of such a powerful beast. The elephant seems to be coming straight out of the photograph, the movement of the water from its trunk and the rings on the pond adding to that, as does the clever local contrast adjustment. Well done.

The shot was taken in South Africa, during the dry season, in 2016. An elephant came to a puddle to drink and play with water. Nikon D800E with Nikon 24-70 f2.8.
