  • This is such fun! It is an enchanting shot indeed but it is also very nicely framed and exposed with lovely low forest light. I love how one of these grey langurs is looking at you (and me). It creates another anchor point for my eye to bounce to and from, with that other very happy wee fellow swinging around. It is a beautifully tender and seemingly carefree moment of family fun. Well done, you win this round, Congratulations!

  • Shooting the most common is the most challenging thing. Langurs are very common but waiting for a right movement is very challenging and needs lots of patience. Photography is not about quantity I consider it more of a quality and a story telling frame which can put a smile in someone’s heart. In 2013 I had made 15 trips to India in search of a perfect frame out of these trips, in one of the trips I could only get this frame and I am more than happy with this picture - A playful monkey with its family is a special frame for me.

  • Here is a very lucky fish and an extraordinary photograph. Sometimesin photography, though rarely, things just come together in a remarkable way. A picture can be a kind of crossroads, a background image where different layers of interest can combine and bring extra dimension, originality and impact to the subject, it comes alive, it is exciting. Here is a perfect example of that, your breaching whale photo has become a much bigger story thanks to that fortunate fish. Fantastic shot.

  • Two worlds in one. You have done very well with this difficult shot, mastering the photograph and its processing, dropping us into the underwater world of a baby turtle.

  • "Sundown Turtle" The picture was taken on my honeymoon! I used a week for the picture until all parameters were consistent. I used a Nikon D810 in an isotta housing with a 15mm fish eye lens. As lighting I used four strobes Subtronic. Especially difficult was to find the right place or the sunset - no it was the waves and the small turtles which are very fast and allow little time for the appropriate shoot.

  • A charging herd of reindeer make a fantastic subject of course but the falling snow and the accompanying soft colours and tones make this a very special photograph.

  • The clever oxpecker using this warthog’s snout as a platform for a drink… Warthog is not bothered because the bird eats his ticks. Great shot showing a different part of these two’s relationship.

  • This most amusing shot of a rushing hamster is back once again, it is extraordinary and beautifully mastered but there is now a sense of déjà vu…
