  • The photo was shot while walking along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade (Kowloon, Hong Kong) on a rainy evening while on assignment. I am a photographer and Creative Director based in San Francisco. The photo was shot using a Canon MK III with a 35mm L prime.

  • The juxtaposed orange and green colors create a charged energy that crash together into the darkness, and allow the silhouette to spring into view with great portend. Fantastically constructed and well executed, this image is a story or movie waiting to be developed. Excellent!

  • We really liked the concept and idea of this image where the impression of many people are blended together to create their collective remembrance while at the same time leaving the main image empty.

  • Over the years we've seen quite a few images of this iconic city, but nothing quite like this image! A fantastic cityscape in its own right, this is taken to another level by the photographer by including the gargoyle in foreground. The approaching nightfall at capture helps by matching the mood.

  • Taken with Canon 6D and 16-35mm f/2.8 lens from the towers of Notre Dame in the great city of Paris. Lots of post processing was involved to make the most of the sunset.

  • Beautiful image of an idyllic old city by the sea - sunshine, sailboats and even an island - yes, these are the ingredients for wanderlust!

  • This one was taken from a cool viewpoint in the Srd mountain and it features the gorgeous walled city of Dubrovnik. Taken with a polarizer to boost the blue sky.

  • Great images can tell a story and in this image the story appears to be ready to unfold. Is the capped shadow figure a policeman? What will happen when he gets to the young man? What's beyond the wall and out of view? The photographer here has utilized a number of elements to build the intrigue, but also employed good use of composition to move the eye through all the parts of the image. Excellent!

  • Thank you! I enjoyed your comment very much. My name is Denis Malciu and I'm from Romania. The photograph was taken in Bucharest, with my Sony A7s and the Sony Sonnar 35mm f2.8 lens. I edited the raw file in Adobe Camera Raw, where I applied a VSCO filter.

  • This cityscape holds the first glance with the darker and more ornate buildings on top left and bottom right. These serve as sort of an anchor that holds the viewers attention and encourages a deeper look. It's both a surprise and a relief to see the colored clothing on the line and the other signs of life.

  • This overhead view (from drone?) is really captivating for its texture and tone and abstraction of shape. Nicely done!

  • My name is Ivano. This picture was taken in Porto (Portugal) October 2015 from Luís bridge. I was using a Leica Monochrom with a 35 Summilux lens. It could be better, as usually, but there is not much space available up there. When I reviewed my pictures, I was fascinated by shape of the road which gives somehow a weird effect; a sort of human body. As for post processing I simply added the Kodak film Tri-X 400 effect through Silver Efex to be consistent with the rest of my images.

  • The photographer of this image should be applauded for their idea here; great foresight and timing to capture this image of the setting sun echoing the shape of the building.
