  • Many thanks for the fantastic award, I am really very pleased. My name is Jana Spindler, I am 21 and I'm studying German and Art in Cologne (Germany). Beside the studies I'm really involved in animal photography (more here facebook and www.jana-spindler.com). The photo shows “Barni”, a beagle, who was photographed with my Canon 5d Mark III and the Canon 16-35mm 2.8. The name of the photo is “Dog on the top”. Last but not least I would also like to say “congratulations to the other participants with their great photos”.

  • Thanks for choosing my photo. It is taken in Ajaccio, Corsica this summer. It was a very hot day, the lady and the dog was taking rest in this place in the shadow. She was happy letting me take photos of the dog when I asked her. Most dog owners say yes to that. I started with some close-ups of the dog, then I took a few with her in the background, but with the focus on her small friend. Shot with Leica Monochrom and a Summilix 50/1,4 Asph. Postprocessing in LR5 and Silver Efex. Bengt Kallenberg, Gustavberg, Sweden.

  • This photo was taken on the North Shore of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts with an Olympus OM-D E-M5 with a Bower 7.5 mm fisheye lens, defished in Lightroom 5. Beautiful spot, beautiful dog. I just pressed the shutter. Many thanks for this acknowledgement.
