  • Winning Image. I have chosen this as this sessions winning image based on both its content and technical ability. Its a fantastic capture and one that we don't see very often. I love the whole feel to this and the added emotion that is gained from that small pop of sunlight in the distance. A really well put together piece of work. Congratulations !

  • Thank you very much indeed to the judge for selecting my image as the winner,it gives me great pleasure to have won a competition such as this and have thoroughly enjoyed taking part. This image was captured on my Nikon Df on returning from a Medical Transfer mission on the Isle of Skye, to the SAR base at Prestwick, Scotland. I noticed the Captain reflecting on what had been a long night as the sun peeked its head above the layer of early morning fog and was able to capture it. The image was edited in ACR by bringing the shadows up and boosting detail slightly before I worked on the tones to ensure the image gave the same sense of feel that we had in the aircraft at the time.

  • Car interiors are never ever easy to light and this is a superb example of a interior that is not only lit well but also maintains both shape and depth, very well done indeed

  • Very interesting shot and a good choice of angle on the lead in for this. The mixture of the tones and the added detail and feel from the light make this a very well put together piece of work. Well done !

  • This is very different but i really like that ! The use of the warm tone mono and the focus on the detail but still allowing the viewer some space to the right really works well

  • I see quite a few racing related entries in this comp and its really great to see one like this that has a really great feel to it. The angle, choice of lens and focal length all go to make this a tight but very effective race image and the use of mono with the gritty feel adds to it further Well done

  • Brilliant shot and the lighting has been done really well. The mixture of the seats with the car itself are well placed and have been given some space that I think really adds to this. Well done
