what an absolutely beautiful photo. the subtle tones and foggy atmosphere, accentuated by the shallow depth of field, the alert focus of the horse, and the wonderful variety of textures -- from the tall dried grasses to the muddy path, the green grasses, the white horse, and the foggy background -- all present us with a strong and compelling image. very nicely done. congratulations! ~ illona

Thank you for choosing my photo as competition winner! I still can't believe it. I'm an Austrian photographer, currently based in Munich, Germany. The photo was taken with my Nikon D600 and the Nikkor 70-200/2,8 during a photosession with this beautiful horse. It was my favourite photo-wheater: cold, wet, foggy and the sun was just about to set. I saw the location and had this picture in my head. Finn was looking at his owner who was jumping up and down behind me to get his attention. There was just little amount of post processing done. I only removed the halter and adjusted the saturation. Again, thanks for the honour and congratulations to all the other winners :)
