The girl does not realize that someone takes a photo of her. She is is completely concentrated and lost in thoughts, maybe about the handling with forks and spoons? I like also how the colors work together and the situation of the light.

By Carl Osterly. This is my niece Mia. The photo was taken at her grandmother's house and shot on a Canon 5D Mark II at 1/400 sec at F2.8 ISO 400 with a Canon EF50mm F1.4 lens. Some tonal adjustments and colour saturation were applied in Lightroom. The image was resized and sharpened in Photoshop. Mia was at the table waiting for lunch to be served. For a few moments she forgot that I was sitting beside her and became distracted by the pattern on the table. That's when I saw an opportunity to take the shot. I love the quiet, reflective look on her face as she compares the real knives and forks on the table with the tablecloth.
