Great wildlife shots don’t have to be close-ups. Here is a beautiful northern scene of a herd of reindeer in a snowy wilderness. The habitat gives the picture so much sense. Well done.

Thank you for the Mark of Excellence. My name is Michael Kraus, living in Germany. The scene was photographed in the middle of Norway with a Canon 7D and the 24-105mm at 35 mm. First I took a lot of pictures with a 500 mm lens, however, with the image statement, I was not satisfied. To show the wide landscape and the habitat of the reindeer I change to wide angle lens.
